Jag som har den här sidan och namnet Photo By Manka heter Magnus Karlsson och bor tillsammans med min familj på västkusten i Sverige och det är också där jag mestadels hämtar mina motiv.

Fotograferat har jagt gjort i en hel del år nu och som jag är helt självlärd i. Studierna i den här konstformen har jag hämtat från diverse fotomagasin (och det är många genom åren), kurser från Moderskeppet, böcker, tips och trix från webben och egna misstag, jag är en fotograf vid sidan om mitt dagliga arbete inom den offentliga sektorn och lever huvudsakligen inte på detta.

Som namnet Photo By Manka antyder, gillar jag verkligen att fota och tycker det är ett mycket kreativt och avkopplande sätt att uttrycka sig i en bildform på, om man nu inte kan måla eller teckna. Motiv, det kan jag se framför mig lite varstans, och kommer ofta på mig själv att tänka "det där skulle nog kunna bli en bra bild".

Min första systemkamera var en Richo KR5 som jag köpte för mina pengar jag tjänade på ett sommarjobb 1978 och på den vägen är det, kan väl också nämna att farsan har varit bidragande till mitt intresse för bild eftersom han alltid har hållt på med antingen foto (dock enbart för sin egen del) eller genom reklam sedan jag var liten, så intresset föddes nog redan där.

I who have this page and the name Photo By Manka is Magnus Karlsson and I live with my family on the west coast of Sweden and it is also where I mostly get my motives.

Photographing, I have practiced for some years now and I am completely self-taught in. The studies in this art form, I have collected from various photo magazines (and there are many over the years) courses from the site moderskeppet, books, tips and tricks from the web and my own mistakes,I am a photographer in addition to my daily work in the public sector and I do not live mainly on this.

As the name Photo By Manka indicates, I really like to photograph and think it's a very creative and relaxing way to express themselves in an image form on, if one can not paint or draw. Motives, I can see in front of me all around, and will often find myself thinking "that could probably be a good picture."

My first SLR was a Richo KR5 that I bought for my money I earned at a summer job in 1978 and on that way it is, may well also mention that my dad have been contributing to my interest in the picture because he has always been doing either photo ( but only for himself) or by advertising since I was little, so the interest was born probably already there.

I have no particular style in my fotografernade except my own, and it is only the respective viewer of the photos that determines whether it is good or not, sometimes it becomes a landscape, some other time maybe a little street photography or something with macro etc., a bit like the spirit falls in other words.
